Demonstration site. IMEALL is a fictional research project. All people, organisations, publications, data and events on this site are sample content.

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement covers the IMEALL demonstration site and was prepared in October 2026.

Standard we aim for

The site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard referenced by EN 301 549 and the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020.

What the site is designed to support

  • Navigate with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
  • Skip to the main content from the top of every page
  • Use a screen reader: pages have landmarks, one main heading and labelled form fields
  • Zoom to 400% without losing content
  • Turn off animation: the site follows your “reduce motion” setting
  • Use the list of study sites instead of the map, with the same information and coordinates

Known limitations

  • The map itself (from OpenStreetMap) has limited screen reader support. The list next to it has the same information.
  • Some older PDF reports may not be fully tagged. Ask us for an accessible version.
  • Embedded videos rely on YouTube’s player and captions.

How we tested

Automated checks with axe-core and Lighthouse on every page template, and scripted tests of the forms (error messages, focus). No manual screen-reader audit or testing with disabled users has been carried out yet for this demonstration.

Feedback and contact

If you find a problem or need information in a different format, email info@imeall.example or use the feedback form. We aim to respond within five working days.
